Belgian senate passes resolution calling for disarmament and withdrawal of all US nukes in europe

The United Nations was founded in October 1945 and it is of profound significance that the first resolution passed by the UN General Assembly sixty years ago today, on January 24th, 1946, was to set up a “Commission to deal with the problems raised by the discovery of atomic energy”.
