Thanks to all the generous donations we received during our crowd funding campaign we are now happy to announce that the UK’s first Nuke Film Fest will take place in March 2016.
Nuke Film Fest?
We want to raise awareness and promote debate about Britain’s nuclear arsenal and next year the government is scheduled to be making an historic decision on the renewal of our current nuclear weapon system, Trident. We’ll be using film and popular culture to engage the public on this issue and get people talking about whether they think the government should be spending in excess of £100 billion to renew this weapon system.

Our young volunteers, the WMD Awareness Ambassadors will be organising the headline event of the festival in London during the second half of March but we will also be supporting people around the country to organise events in their communities to help reach more people.
We’ve now launched our Nuke Film Fest Hub where you will be able to find film screenings near you, download resources and find a step-by-step guide to organising an event in your area. If you’d like to know more get in touch with dan[at]wmdawareness.org.uk
